THE POKE

Poke is the result of an original encounter between the Hawaiian and the Japanese cultures!

Our Pokes are served with Japanese Bago rice, washed and seasoned four times with our sushi su recipe, made with rice vinegar, mirin, kombu and sugar. Afterwards, they are sprinkled with sesame seeds. The always fresh fish and seafood are seasoned with our ponzu gel, which allows for perfect consistency, ensuring that in every mouthful, you can taste the flavour of soy and citrus fruits!

CHEF KIKO

Francisco Martins, best known as Chef Kiko, is one of the most respected Portuguese Chefs and one of the most daring and creative minds behind some of the best restaurants in Portugal.

He was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, after his parents had emigrated there from Portugal. He returns to the country of his heart, at the age of 11.

In Lisbon, he opened his first restaurant, "O Talho" in 2013. It was followed by "A Cevicheria", "O Poke" and "O Boteco" restaurants. All of them with a strong mix of gastronomic influences and the same desire: "To serve the World at Portuguese dining tables!".

All restaurants are original, disting and offer unique concepts.

Throughout his career, Chef Kiko also participated in televisions and radio programs, with a strong educational component: Chef's Academy, Chef's Academy Kids, Cook Off, Masterchef and RFM's Café da Manhã.

In 2016, he won the "Prix au Chef de L'Avenir" award, from the International Gastronomy Academy.

Chef Kiko stands out for the way in which he commits himself to his cooking and for the way he turns each meal into a unique moment of sharing.

Between his restaurants, television, radio, events and books, it's hard to find Chef Kiko still for more than 5 minutes. Actually, one of his favourite hobbies is running and that is also how he likes to manage all the ideas that race through his mind and never stop.
